Risborough Gallery was established in 1982 by professional artist David Aldus. David predominantly sold his own work in the gallery along with a few select artists. As the success of the gallery continued, David offered a full bespoke framing service which is still offered today. In 2002, David decided to retire and passed the business on to his son Steven who has introduced a more contemporary feel to the art and the gallery. In 2015, the gallery moved next door to number 17 where the interior was extensively modernised and it now boasts an upstairs showroom with vaulted ceilings and large walls - perfect for displaying art.
Located in the beautiful Chiltern Hills, our aim is to promote contemporary art by showcasing unique works, providing our clients with an experience they can enjoy for years to come. We specialise in art that demonstrates an exceptional use of colour, light, shape or form. Our focus is on providing our customers with exceptional customer service and on being an open and accessible gallery.
We have recently started to stock rare signed film & prop memorabilia which has proven to be a huge success. We will continue to expand our stock with more exciting and exclusive pieces throughout 2018

Risborough Gallery has been framing for over 35 years and within that time has built up a reputation for excellent quality. We specialise in Italian and French hand finished frames, but also cater for the customer who needs to frame their items to a specific budget. To the rear of the gallery, we have an onsite workshop so your valuable items will never leave the premises. We have access to a computerised mount cutter which enables us to cut numerous different shapes and styles on mountboards. Specialist glass is also a field that we have excellent experience in. Should you wish to protect your artwork from harmful UV or just want to see the artwork as intended without distracting reflections, then we can advise on the glass options available to you. We only frame to a conservation standard on all our clients’ work, so you can rest assured that your valuable items will be protected, whether it’s a standard certificate or a high value original.
We also offer a free delivery service for larger items of art and framing.
